Planting chives using pots is now widely done by people in their yards and even in front of their houses.

Planting chives should be done in a place that is exposed to direct sunlight.
We can plant chives using seeds or saplings...

The next steps can include care and fertilization if necessary, especially regular watering every morning or evening.

*. Here are the stages for planting chives in pots. :

1.  preparation of pots and planting media (chives)

- pot size : Choose a pot with a diameter between 20 - 40 cm to suit your taste and location.

- prepare the planting medium : Mix soil, compost or you can use dry leaves and sand in a ratio of 2:1:1

- drainage layer (optional) : To make drainage smooth, we can add a little gravel or broken roof tiles to the bottom of the pot before we add the planting medium.

2. Planting  (chives)

- seeds or seedlings : Seed selection can use seeds or chive shoots

- with seed seeds: if we use seeds in the initial stage, soak them in warm water (55°) for 2-6 hours so that it will speed up the growth of sprouts or roots.

- Using saplings : If you use chive saplings, choose ones with good cluster roots and be very careful when removing them, then make sure there are still roots in the saplings that we remove.

- Naming seeds : put the seeds or shoots into the pot that we have filled with planting media beforehand, then cover it again using soil media.

- watering : Water the pot that we have finished, watering functions to keep the soil moist and the seeds or shoots that we use can grow

* With good care and regular watering, we can harvest the cassava plant continuously.

3. Maintenance (chives)

- watering : Water regularly in the morning or evening, especially during dry weather, to keep the soil moist.

- lighting : Place the pot in an area that is exposed to direct sunlight, with a duration of 5-8 hours every day.

- fertilization : Give manure (organic) or you can also use packaged fertilizer (inorganic - urea, NPK, KCI) according to the rules stated on the packaging.

- protection/care : If we put the pot in a limited space, make sure the air circulation is working well and it is always exposed to sunlight, even if not for long.

4. harvest (chives)

- Chives can be harvested after reaching a size of 10-15cm, according to agricultural journals.

- Cut the chives using scissors or a garden knife. Don't pull them out by the roots, because they can be harvested again once a week.
